What does Depop charge in 2026?
Depop no longer charges a selling fee to sellers in the United States on sales in US dollars. What remains is payment processing and optional Boosts. Depop Payments, run through Stripe, charges 3.3% plus 45 cents. Depop says this is charged on the item price plus shipping and any applicable taxes. Sellers in other countries may still pay a 10% selling fee, so check your region.
If you boost a listing, Depop charges a 12% fee for US sellers when a buyer sees the boosted listing and buys it within 28 days. The fee is charged on the item price, and on shipping too if you arrange your own label. It is not charged on shipping when you use a Depop Shipping label. Buyers also pay their own marketplace fee, which is not taken from sellers.
A worked Depop example
A $40 item with $5 shipping paid by the buyer is a $45 order. With no selling fee, processing is 3.3% of $45 plus $0.45, which is $1.94, so the payout is about $43.07. If the item cost $10 and a Depop label costs $5, your profit is about $28. If the sale came from a Boosted listing using a Depop label, the Boost fee is 12% of $40, which is $4.80, and your profit falls to about $23. Boosts are worth it when they bring sales you would not otherwise get.
Is Depop cheaper than other resale apps?
With no selling fee, Depop is among the cheapest places to sell in the US before Boosts, compared with eBay's 13.6%, Poshmark's 20% and Mercari's 10%. But lower fees do not guarantee more sales, since each app has its own buyers.
