How Poshmark's fees work
Poshmark's fee is simple. For sales under $15, Poshmark takes a flat $2.95 and you keep the rest. For sales of $15 and over, Poshmark keeps 20% and you keep 80%. There are no listing fees and no monthly costs, and buyers pay for shipping through Poshmark's prepaid label. Sellers in some US states may also see a state seller tax deducted from earnings, which Poshmark has applied to Texas sellers since October 1, 2025.
Because the fee is a percentage of the sale price, your cost to sell rises with every price increase, but the share stays the same above $15. This makes the true margin easy to forecast.
A worked Poshmark example
A jacket listed for $40 sells. The fee is 20%, which is $8.00, so your earnings are $32.00. If you paid $10 for it, your profit is $22.00, a 55% margin on the sale price. A $12 top sells for the flat $2.95 fee, so you earn $9.05. If it cost you $4, the profit is $5.05, a 42% margin. Under $15, the flat fee takes a larger share of a lower price, so cheap items need a low cost to be worth listing.
Pricing for offers and discounts
Poshmark buyers expect to make offers, so list high enough to leave room. The calculator's price suggestion shows the listing price that gives you your target profit after the fee. If you plan to accept an offer 20% below your list price, work out your profit at the lower price as well. Our markup calculator also helps you decide how much margin to build in.
Poshmark compared with other apps
At 20%, Poshmark is one of the more expensive resale marketplaces, but buyers cover shipping and the audience is strong for fashion. Compare it with our Mercari fee calculator, Depop fee calculator and eBay fee calculator before you decide where to list each item.
